New Projects

08 25 2014

I uploaded a few new projects today: Flutter, 3D Portraits, and Past & Present. They're all pretty different, but it was a lot of fun working on all three.

I'm especially excited to have added Past & Present. I worked on it last spring and fall at Parsons as my thesis project. I have kind of a weird fascination with nostalgia and old things, so the ability to combine that with the newest web technology turned out to be a really fun project to work on. Check it out if you have a chance:

I'm starting an internship at Potion this week as an interactive developer. I'm super excited to help out with some of their awesome projects. So, if you need me, that's what I'll be doing this summer. Over and out!

Hello World!

03 30 2014

So, I did a redesign of my site. This is the result. I like it: it's more simple, but still has a bit of personality to it.

One thing that's new: I really wanted to have a place where I could write about what I was doing, but I didn't want to have to install a whole CMS in order to accomplish the whole posting thing. Instead, I created a few simple tools using PHP that will let me create posts by filling in a few online forms. The info gets sent to a template, as well as MySQL, and PHP creates a new post/file using that info. The blog part of my site just brings in the information from the database, and voilą! We have a simple little blog.

I might try to create some tools for pagination/dynamically loaded content, but for now this works pretty well. I'm going to use this space to post some updates on what I'm doing or things that I like.
